Become a School Volunteer
Research supports that individual adult attention is a key contributor to student achievement and overall success in life. The efforts of all school volunteers, principals, faculty and staff, and the San Diego community to continue to engage in volunteer activities in support of our Mission Statement.
We appreciate the many parents, businesses, non-profit organizations, community members, professional organizations, college students, higher education institutions and military groups involved in the education of our students. Currently, nearly 28,000 volunteers work in a variety of capacities in the San Diego Unified School District.
Volunteers help support education through a wide range of school-related opportunities, including tutoring, mentoring, classroom read alouds, classroom assistance, non-classroom assistance (field trips, media center, site beautification), organization involvement (PTA, school foundation, School Site Council), and before- and after-school programs.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the school and speak with the principal.
